Mini-me has been a failure
After really trying to find a use for the HP 2133 mini-note, I have come to the conclusion that it's just not very usefull. Which is a shame as it's the perfect size for carrying with me whereever I go.
The primary problem with it is the battery life and heat. It ust doesn't last long enough. For me and my particular preference of Ubuntu Linux, the lack of wifi support is major as well. Yes, it can be made to work, but as I experienced, it is a fragile hack. One update and the bubblegum and shoestring fell apart.
I find myself using my full-size laptop as my primary computer now--which isn't good new for my desktop either.
So what will I do with mini-me? Well I'm hopefull that Ubuntu 8.10 will work better. But the short uptime and too-hot-to-handle aspect may still be too much.
Anyone want an HP2133 mini-note? I'll let it go cheap!
